Mindful Happiness

SCROLL DOWN

Mindful Happiness

It took us a little while to work this out, but Mindful Happiness came to the realisation that mental illness doesn't have to be a giant secret anymore. We questioned why we had to hide who we are, and how we were really feeling. Labels certainly don't define us, but learning to be more self-aware has helped us grow mentally.

This space was created to spread positive energy & thoughts, to share powerful mental health stories, to encourage you to speak up when you need help and begin to discover your wonderful self again.

We are here to inspire and connect with you — to inspire you to speak up about your feelings (both good and bad), and for you to connect with real stories & mindfulness resources to help you live in the present moment.

The mind behind
Mindful Happiness

Johanna "Giddy" Goldsmith

Welcome to Mindful Happiness, and thanks for being here today.

My name is Johanna Goldsmith, but friends call me Giddy.

Mindful Happiness came to life in mid 2014 when my own mental illnesses began to surface. This space has evolved over time, but has always been here to spread positive energy & thoughts, to create a channel to share real stories about my mental health journey, and to encourage others to do the same.

I personally survived my own mental health battle and believe it’s so important to raise awareness to end the stigma, and to create more supportive communities for those suffering and recovering. Practicing mindfulness was one of the effective tools that helped me overcome the battle with my own mind.

Here you’ll find honest stories of my journey, what helped me get through it and what may potentially help you too. I hope Mindful Happiness inspires you to live a more happy and healthy life by being more mindful every day, in everything you do and everyone you come in contact with. As they say, you have to go through darkness to get to the light and that’s exactly what happened to me. I continue to find different keys to happiness and believe you can too. It might not be easy, but I promise it’ll be worth it. I hope you can take away something positive for yourself by reading my experiences about who I surround myself with, where I’ve come from, where I am now and where I’m headed in this beautiful marathon of life.

Stay mindfully happy,

Share Your Story

Share Your Story

You matter. You are more important than you realise. To end the stigma surrounding mental illness, I need your help. Be the change you wish to see in the world.

By sharing your story, not only will you be helping others and connecting with them on a similar level, but you will also feel a beautiful release within yourself during the process.
The release we refer to is that huge weight off your shoulders when you no longer have to hide. There is nothing wrong with you, you are simply on your journey to greatness and like all things in life, this takes time.

All honest stories from all walks of life are welcome, related to mental health or simply words of encouragement to inspire another.
